Owning Your Story

Storytelling is a natural part of family gatherings. Especially around the holidays, nearly every family has a canon of “old favorites” that gets trotted out: the Christmas when Granddad left the turkey in the fryer too long, the day Mom came home with the new baby and the water main burst, the time the chickens got loose in the basement. We all have a good laugh, perhaps along with some good-natured arguments about who tells the story most accurately.
